Lately I'm thinking lots about capitalism and how it colors everything. It is the water I swim in. I'm so thankful for those people who do the difficult, but absolutely necessary creative work of the world -- often (too often), as you say, without financial reward -- the poets, the artists, the dreamers of one form or another. The world would be lost without them.
